3rd Annual Surf 4 Kidz Camp

Surf 4 Kidz is structured very similarly to the Junior Lifeguard program with a focus on the younger crowd. Being that the children are younger than those that are normally in a surf camp, the instructor to surfer ratio is 1:1 while in the water. The kids are broken up into groups at the beginning of each day. One group will surf while the remaining groups play games on the beach.

While the kids in the water are surfing, they each have an individual instructor helping them. The kids playing on the beach are with other instructors playing dodge ball, volleyball, baseball, and many other beach games.

After each group has been in the water, we take a break and discuss different safety topics such as riptides, protecting your head when diving under a wave, and other issues relating to the ocean. Each group then gets one more shot to show their stuff in the water before the end of the day.

Surf 4 Kidz is a very fun and safe way to introduce children to surfing and to be a part of the beach community.

Also, because all of the proceeds are supporting The Sitting Tree, the children begin to learn at an early age how to give back to the community.
