In 2008, a passion for surfing, inspiring the youth, and helping those in need gave birth to Surf 4 Kidz. Over 15 years, over $125k donated, and hundreds of kids later, Surf 4 Kidz continues with the same simple objective: Teach and inspire the younger generation to surf in a safe environment while raising money to help those in need.

 

Surf 4 Kidz offers a 1:1 ratio in the water focusing on safety and attention. Most parents watch and take pictures/videos making for an intimate, family-focused event. At the end of the week, the volunteers, parents, and kids gather to cap the week and discuss how the funds raised will help those in need. The closing ceremony brings to life the charitable component of the camp and true objective while teaching the children the value of giving. 

 

Surf 4 Kidz is not a licensed 501(c)3. Rather, we choose a local 501(c)3 as the beneficiary. 100% of the proceeds goes directly to the charity we choose to support. None of the directors, instructors, or volunteers accept any form of payment or compensation. We are excited to again support the veteran’s program at ReIGNITE Hope.

 

ReIGNITE Hope was formed over 10 years ago by Steve Bunyard. Prior to becoming a local pastor, Steve learned how to weld as he previously owned a shop selling high performance transmission products. Steve began teaching 5 homeless men on Skid Row how to weld which forever changed their lives. This was the beginning of ReIGNITE Hope. Since then, ReIGNITE Hope has graduated, certified, and found welding jobs over 1,000 homeless, ex-gang members, ex-cons, and at-risk military veterans that need a path, guidance, and a career. 100% of the proceeds raised by Surf 4 Kidz will support the at-risk military veteran program at ReIGNITE Hope. We are proud and honored to help our veterans through ReIGNITE Hope.
